Create adorable and delicious snowman Oreo truffles with this easy no-bake holiday recipe. Perfect for festive gatherings and a fun activity for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 ounces) Oreo cookies
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
  • Black edible marker or small black candies for eyes and buttons
  • Orange edible marker or small orange candies for nose

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. You can do this in a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined and a dough forms.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, to form the snowman’s body. You will need two balls per snowman.
  4. Freeze the rolled balls for about 15-20 minutes until firm.
  5. Melt the white chocolate chips. You can do this in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, or using a double boiler. If using, add vegetable shortening to the white chocolate for a smoother consistency.
  6. Dip each Oreo ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let excess chocolate drip off.
  7. Place the coated balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. While the white chocolate is still wet, attach the two body parts for each snowman. Use a little melted white chocolate to help them stick if needed.
  9. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips (with shortening if desired).
  10. Use the melted semi-sweet chocolate to draw the snowman’s face (eyes and mouth) and buttons using a piping bag or a fork.
  11. Attach a small orange candy or draw an orange nose with the edible marker.
  12. Allow the chocolate to set completely. You can refrigerate them for a few minutes to speed up the process.

Notes

  • For a smoother coating, ensure your cream cheese is fully softened.
  • If you don’t have an edible marker, small black candies can be used for eyes and buttons, and a tiny piece of orange candy for the nose.
  • Store the finished truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
