Ingredients
Scale
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 medium apple (like Honeycrisp or Gala), peeled, cored, and diced
1 tablespoon caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
1 tablespoon chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, flour, oats, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
Divide the diced apple between two oven-safe ramekins or small baking dishes.
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce over the apples in each ramekin.
Evenly sprinkle the crumb topping over the caramel-coated apples.
If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts over the topping.
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet to catch any drips.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Let cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with extra caramel sauce if desired.
Notes
For an extra touch of fall flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the crumb topping.
If you don’t have ramekins, you can use a small oven-safe pie plate or a muffin tin.
