Make these simple, savory bites using Ritz crackers topped with melted cheese and a homemade spicy garlic jalapeno spread. They are quick to prepare for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sleeve Ritz Crackers
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Arrange the Ritz crackers in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, minced garlic, minced jalapeno, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. Spoon about one teaspoon of the cheese mixture onto the center of each cracker.
  4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese topping is melted and lightly golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a smoother spread, let the cream cheese sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before mixing.
  • If you prefer more heat, leave some seeds in the jalapeno.
  • You can substitute the cheddar cheese with Monterey Jack for a milder flavor.
