A simple recipe for a festive, creamy espresso martini featuring cool peppermint flavor, perfect for the holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Coffee Liqueur (like Kahlua)
  • 1 oz Freshly Brewed Espresso, chilled
  • 0.5 oz Peppermint Schnapps
  • 0.5 oz Simple Syrup
  • Ice
  • Optional: Chocolate syrup for glass rim
  • Optional: Crushed candy canes for rim

Instructions

  1. If using a rim, lightly coat the edge of your martini glass with chocolate syrup, then dip the rim into crushed candy canes or cocoa powder. Set the glass aside.
  2. Combine the vodka, coffee liqueur, chilled espresso, peppermint schnapps, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker three-quarters full with ice.
  4. Seal the shaker tightly and shake hard for about 20 to 30 seconds until the shaker is very cold and a good foam layer forms.
  5. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into your prepared martini glass.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use high-quality, freshly brewed espresso for the best foam and flavor.
  • Chill your espresso ahead of time to prevent excessive ice dilution during shaking.
  • Adjust simple syrup to your preferred sweetness level.
