Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until well combined.
  3. Add the pecan halves to the bowl and toss gently to coat them evenly with the maple mixture.
  4. Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the glaze is bubbly and the pecans are toasted and fragrant.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the pecans cool completely on the baking sheet. They will become crunchy as they cool.
  7. Once cooled, break apart any clusters and store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the glaze.
  • These pecans are best enjoyed within a week for maximum crunchiness.
  • You can use different nuts like walnuts or almonds as well.
