Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-10 pound) fully cooked ham
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Place the ham in a roasting pan. If your ham has a thick rind, score it in a diamond pattern.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cloves to create the glaze.
  4. Brush about half of the glaze over the ham.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, basting with the remaining glaze every 20 minutes.
  6. Continue baking until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
  7. Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes before carving and serving.

Notes

  • For a deeper flavor, you can stud the ham with whole cloves before glazing.
  • If your ham is very lean, you can add a few tablespoons of water to the bottom of the roasting pan to prevent drying.
