Ingredients
Scale
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped leftover Halloween candy
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chopped Halloween candy.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
Notes
You can use a variety of candies, such as chocolate bars, caramels, or gummies.
For best results, chop the candy into small, bite-sized pieces.
If the candy is very hard, you may need to bake the brownies a few minutes longer.
