Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup diced jalapenos (fresh or pickled, seeds removed for less heat)
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (for topping)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place them in the prepared baking dish.
In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, cheddar cheese, diced jalapenos, and crumbled bacon until well combined. This forms your creamy sauce.
Spoon the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast, spreading it to cover the surface.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
In the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle the Monterey Jack cheese over the top of the sauce. Return to the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra creaminess, you can bake this dish covered with foil for the first 20 minutes, then uncover to brown the cheese.
If you prefer an air fryer method, cook at 350°F (175°C) for about 18-22 minutes, adding the top cheese layer for the final 3 minutes.
Use fresh jalapenos for a brighter flavor, or pickled for a tangier taste.
