This is a rich, creamy chocolate fudge recipe infused with the distinct flavor of Kahlúa coffee liqueur. It brings a grown-up, indulgent coffee kick to a classic sweet treat, perfect for sharing memories.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Kahlúa (coffee liqueur)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy removal.
  2. Combine the sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and butter in a medium, heavy-bottomed saucepan.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until the butter is melted and the chocolate is completely smooth. Do not let it boil.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the Kahlúa, vanilla extract, and salt until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Spread evenly.
  6. Allow the fudge to cool completely at room temperature for at least 3 hours, or chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour until firm.
  7. Use the parchment overhang to lift the fudge from the pan. Cut into small squares.

Notes

  • For an extra coffee flavor, you can substitute a portion of the Kahlúa with strong brewed coffee.
  • If you prefer a firmer fudge, chill for an additional hour after setting at room temperature.
  • This fudge makes a wonderful gift when wrapped individually.
