Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add a few drops of orange food coloring and mix until the batter is a uniform orange color.
  4. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  5. For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle.
  6. Once bubbles appear on the surface, flip the pancake and cook the other side until golden brown.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  8. Once the pancakes have cooled slightly, use black decorating gel or icing to draw jack-o’-lantern faces on them.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy your Halloween breakfast fun.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of orange food coloring to achieve your desired pumpkin shade.
  • You can also use chocolate chips or berries for the jack-o’-lantern faces if you prefer.
  • Ensure your griddle is at the right temperature to prevent burning and ensure even cooking.
