Follow these steps to make a rich, sweet, and spiced iced cold brew coffee at home using a simple brown sugar cinnamon syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup Milk (dairy or non-dairy)

Instructions

  1. Make the Syrup: Combine water, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. Do not boil.
  3. Remove the syrup from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let the syrup cool completely.
  4. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any large cinnamon particles, if desired.
  5. Assemble the Drink: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
  6. Pour 1/4 cup of the cooled brown sugar cinnamon syrup into the glass.
  7. Add 1/2 cup of cold brew coffee concentrate over the syrup and ice.
  8. Top the drink with 1/2 cup of your chosen milk.
  9. Stir well before drinking to combine the layers.

Notes

  • For a stronger cinnamon flavor, add a cinnamon stick to the syrup while it cools.
  • You can adjust the syrup ratio to make the drink sweeter or less sweet.
  • Use a good quality cold brew concentrate for the best flavor base.
  • To make a cold foam topping, whip heavy cream with a small amount of the syrup until slightly thickened.
