Create a delightful hot cocoa bomb with a marshmallow surprise inside. Perfect for a cozy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup hot cocoa mix
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Optional: sprinkles or edible glitter

Instructions

  1. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate into a silicone mold (spherical molds work best).
  3. Coat the inside of each mold cavity with chocolate, ensuring an even layer.
  4. Place the mold in the freezer for about 10 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
  5. While the chocolate sets, melt the white chocolate chips in a separate bowl using the same method as above.
  6. Remove the mold from the freezer. Gently peel away the silicone to reveal your chocolate shells.
  7. Fill half of the chocolate shells with a mixture of hot cocoa mix and powdered sugar.
  8. Place a few mini marshmallows on top of the cocoa mix in each filled shell.
  9. Warm the rim of the empty chocolate shells by placing them on a warm plate for a few seconds.
  10. Carefully place an empty shell on top of a filled shell to seal the bomb.
  11. If desired, decorate the outside with sprinkles or edible glitter.
  12. To use, place a hot cocoa bomb in a mug and pour hot milk over it. Stir until the bomb melts and the marshmallows are released.

Notes

  • Use good quality chocolate for the best results.
  • Ensure your mold is completely dry before adding chocolate.
  • Work quickly when sealing the bombs to prevent the chocolate from melting.
  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate or a combination of chocolates.
