Ingredients
Scale
1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, and black pepper. This is your delicious glaze.
Place the salmon cubes in a medium bowl. Pour half of the honey garlic sauce over the salmon. Gently toss to coat every piece. Save the remaining sauce for basting later.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Place the coated salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes.
After 6 minutes, open the basket and brush the salmon bites generously with some of the reserved honey garlic sauce.
Continue cooking for another 1 to 2 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze is sticky and caramelized.
Remove from the air fryer. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, if using. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can marinate the salmon in the sauce for 15 minutes before air frying.
If you prefer a thicker glaze, simmer the reserved sauce on the stovetop until it reduces slightly before basting.
Ensure your salmon is cut into uniform pieces for even cooking.
