Create incredibly tender pork chops coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze. This recipe brings a memorable dinner to your table quickly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Cold water

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove chops from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir well.
  4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and cold water to create a slurry.
  6. Pour the slurry into the simmering sauce, whisking constantly until the sauce thickens. This should take about 1 minute. This is your glaze timing.
  7. Return the seared pork chops to the skillet. Spoon the honey garlic glaze over the chops.
  8. Simmer for another 2 to 4 minutes, turning the chops once, until they are cooked through and nicely coated. You want them tender.
  9. Remove from heat and serve immediately with extra glaze spooned over the top.

Notes

  • For extra tenderness, let the chops rest for 5 minutes after cooking before serving.
  • You can substitute brown sugar for honey if you prefer a deeper molasses flavor.
  • Ensure you do not overcook the pork chops to keep them juicy.
