A recipe for a creamy, fresh salad dressing packed with green herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, packed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives
  • 1 tablespoon fresh tarragon leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh anchovy paste (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the mayonnaise, sour cream, parsley, chives, tarragon, anchovy paste (if using), lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper into a food processor or blender.
  2. Process the ingredients until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste the dressing and adjust salt or lemon juice if necessary.
  4. Transfer the dressing to an airtight container.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a lighter dressing, substitute half of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • If you prefer a vegan version, replace the mayonnaise and sour cream with silken tofu or a cashew cream base.
  • This dressing pairs well with mixed greens, cucumber salads, or as a dip for raw vegetables.
