This recipe provides instructions for a creamy, sweet grape salad using a cream cheese base and topped with crunchy toasted pecans. It is suitable for potlucks or as a simple dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds green grapes, washed and dried
  • 2 pounds red grapes, washed and dried
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted

Instructions

  1. Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  2. Gently fold the washed and dried green and red grapes into the cream cheese mixture until they are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the grape mixture into a serving dish.
  4. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  5. Just before serving, sprinkle the toasted chopped pecans over the top of the salad.

Notes

  • To toast pecans, spread them in a dry skillet over medium heat. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often, until fragrant. Let them cool before chopping.
  • You can make this salad up to 24 hours in advance; cover and refrigerate. Add the pecans just before serving for best crunch.
  • For a variation, substitute half the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt for a slightly lighter texture.
