Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes if you are using them.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, oregano, pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add the cubed chicken to the bowl. Toss well to coat every piece evenly with the marinade.
  4. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
  6. Arrange the skewers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd. You will need to work in batches.
  7. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping the skewers halfway through the cooking time.
  8. The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the outside is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the air fryer. Garnish generously with fresh chopped parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you might want to brush the skewers with a little melted butter right after they come out of the air fryer.
  • If your air fryer runs hot, check them closer to the 10-minute mark.
  • This recipe is perfect for adapting. Try adding a pinch of smoked paprika for a different profile.
