Bake tender, flavorful chicken breasts coated in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce. This easy baked chicken recipe is perfect for weeknight dinners and family friendly chicken dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until smooth. This makes your creamy garlic chicken sauce.
  4. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts, making sure they are well coated.
  5. If you want a crispier top, sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the sauce.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Let the cheesy garlic parmesan chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a low carb chicken bake option, skip the breadcrumbs.
  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts if you prefer.
  • If you do not have heavy cream, you can substitute with half-and-half, though the sauce may be slightly thinner.
