This recipe provides a quick and easy method for preparing a refreshing fruit salad using seasonal fruits and a light honey-lime dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • 2 cups pineapple, cubed
  • 2 cups green grapes, halved
  • 2 cups cantaloupe, cubed
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest

Instructions

  1. Wash and prepare all fresh fruit according to the ingredient list. Place the prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the fresh lime juice, honey, and lime zest until the honey is fully dissolved. This is your dressing.
  3. Pour the honey-lime dressing evenly over the fruit in the large bowl.
  4. Gently toss the fruit until all pieces are lightly coated with the dressing.
  5. Chill the fruit salad in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • To prevent browning on apples or bananas if you include them, toss them immediately with a small amount of the lime juice before adding them to the main bowl.
  • For a tropical variation, substitute mango for cantaloupe and add sliced kiwi.
  • If you prefer a less sweet salad, reduce the honey to 1 tablespoon.
