Make this simple fruit pizza using refrigerated sugar cookie dough for a quick, delicious dessert with a creamy cheese topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16.5 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cups fresh mixed fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, mandarin oranges recommended)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Press the refrigerated sugar cookie dough evenly onto the prepared pan to form a large, flat circle, like a pizza crust.
  3. Bake the sugar cookie crust for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Let the crust cool completely on the pan.
  4. While the crust cools, prepare the cream cheese frosting. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and milk together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. Once the crust is cool, spread the cream cheese frosting evenly over the entire surface of the cookie crust.
  6. Arrange your fresh mixed fruit decoratively over the frosting layer. You can create patterns or simply scatter the fruit for a colorful look.
  7. Chill the fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. This helps the frosting set.

Notes

  • For a mini fruit pizza version, press small rounds of dough onto a baking sheet and bake them individually. Adjust bake time slightly if needed.
  • When selecting fruit, choose firm, colorful options like berries and sliced kiwi for the best visual appeal.
  • If you want a slightly tangier frosting, you can substitute 2 tablespoons of the milk with fresh lemon juice.
