- 4 cups mixed greens
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 large ripe avocado, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Prepare the vinaigrette: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, orange juice, honey, salt, and pepper until combined. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, sliced strawberries, diced avocado, and sliced red onion.
- Pour the prepared citrus vinaigrette over the salad ingredients.
- Gently toss the salad until all components are lightly coated with the dressing.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute lemon juice for orange juice if you prefer a tarter dressing.
- For added crunch, add 1/4 cup of toasted pecans or slivered almonds.
- This salad works well with baby spinach instead of mixed greens.
