Make this rich and flavorful gnocchi dish entirely in one skillet for quick preparation and minimal cleanup. It features a simple, creamy sauce made with garlic and butter.
Melt the butter in a large, oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about one minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
Add the uncooked gnocchi directly to the skillet. Stir to coat them in the garlic butter.
Pour in the broth and heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover the skillet, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the gnocchi are tender and have absorbed most of the liquid.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving directly from the pan.
Notes
If you prefer a slightly firmer gnocchi texture, cook for 1-2 minutes less in the covered step.
You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic for a little heat.
For a richer sauce, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream, but simmer slightly longer to reduce.
