Make tender, juicy steak bites effortlessly in your slow cooker. This simple crockpot steak recipe is perfect for busy weeknights and delivers big flavor with minimal hands-on time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sirloin steak into the basin of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the steak evenly with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss gently to coat the meat.
  3. Pour the beef broth over the steak.
  4. Scatter the pieces of butter over the top of the steak.
  5. Add the minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce around the edges of the slow cooker. Do not stir.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours, until the steak is tender.
  7. Once cooked, stir everything together gently to create a simple garlic butter sauce coating the steak bites.
  8. Serve the juicy crockpot steak bites immediately over mashed potatoes or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can sear the steak cubes quickly in a hot skillet before adding them to the slow cooker.
  • This recipe works well with other cuts like chuck roast or skirt steak if you prefer a heartier texture.
  • If you want a thicker sauce, remove the steak after cooking and let the liquid simmer on the stove until reduced, then pour back over the meat.
