These Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Bites are an easy and festive appetizer perfect for holiday gatherings. They combine creamy brie, tart cranberries, and flaky puff pastry for a delightful bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small cubes
  • 1/4 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 12 equal squares.
  3. Place a cube of brie cheese in the center of each puff pastry square.
  4. Top the brie with a small spoonful of cranberry sauce.
  5. Bring the corners of the puff pastry up and pinch them together to enclose the filling. You can also simply fold the square in half to create a turnover.
  6. Place the pastry bites on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops of the pastry bites with the beaten egg.
  8. If using, sprinkle with fresh rosemary.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter bite, you can add a drizzle of honey before baking.
  • If you don’t have whole berry cranberry sauce, jellied cranberry sauce can be used, but cut it into small pieces.
  • These can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
