Richard and Eleanor bring you a breakfast treat that captures the essence of a warm cinnamon roll in a crispy waffle. This recipe uses pre-made cinnamon roll dough for a quick, comforting, and deeply satisfying morning indulgence. It is a taste of a treasured memory.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (12.4 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • Cooking spray or butter for the waffle iron

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle iron until hot.
  2. Lightly spray the waffle iron plates with cooking spray or brush with melted butter.
  3. Open the package of cinnamon rolls. Do not unroll them.
  4. Place one whole cinnamon roll into the center of each section of the waffle iron.
  5. Close the lid gently. You may need to press down slightly if the dough puffs up immediately.
  6. Cook for 4 to 6 minutes, or until the waffle is golden brown and cooked through. Cooking time varies by waffle iron.
  7. Carefully remove the cooked cinnamon roll waffle using tongs or a spatula.
  8. While the waffle is hot, open the icing packets and drizzle the icing generously over the top.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy this sweet memory.

Notes

  • If your cinnamon rolls are very large, you may only fit one per section of a standard-sized waffle iron.
  • For extra crispy edges, you can cook the waffle for an extra minute.
  • If you prefer less sweetness, use only half of the icing provided.
