Make soft and chewy cookies quickly using only three ingredients: cake mix, eggs, and oil. This is a simple dessert hack for fast baking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) Yellow Cake Mix
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the entire box of cake mix, the two eggs, and the vegetable oil.
  3. Mix the ingredients with a spoon or electric mixer until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
  4. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly set. The centers may look slightly underdone.
  6. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before scooping.
  • If you prefer a chewier texture, use melted butter instead of oil.
  • Add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips or sprinkles to the dough for variation.
