Ingredients
Scale
12 large eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon hot sauce (like Tabasco)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
Paprika, for dusting
Optional garnishes: small black olive slices, chives
Instructions
Place eggs in a large saucepan and cover with cold water by about an inch. Bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 10-12 minutes.
Drain the hot water and immediately fill the saucepan with ice water. Let the eggs cool completely.
Peel the cooled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
Carefully scoop the yolks into a medium bowl. Arrange the egg white halves on a serving platter.
Mash the egg yolks with a fork until smooth.
Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until well combined and creamy.
Stir in the finely chopped celery and red onion.
Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
Dust the tops of the deviled eggs with paprika.
Garnish with black olive slices or chives if desired.
Notes
For a spicier deviled egg, add a little more hot sauce.
You can make the yolk mixture a day ahead and refrigerate it. Fill the egg whites just before serving.
To make them extra spooky, use black food coloring in the yolk mixture or add small olive slices to resemble eyes.
