Ingredients
Scale
1 (12 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
1 cup tequila (Blanco or Reposado)
1/2 cup water
1 bottle (12 ounce) light beer, chilled
Ice
Lime slices for garnish
Instructions
In a large pitcher, combine the thawed limeade concentrate, tequila, and water. Stir well until fully mixed.
Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This helps the flavors meld.
When ready to serve, gently pour the chilled light beer into the pitcher. Stir very slowly just once or twice to combine. Do not over-mix, or you will lose the fizz.
Fill glasses with ice. Pour the beer margarita mixture over the ice.
Garnish each glass with a fresh lime slice. Enjoy this taste of a cherished memory.
Notes
Richard suggests using a crisp, light Mexican lager for the best fizz and flavor balance.
If you prefer it sweeter, you can add 1/4 cup of simple syrup to the initial mixture.
For a salt rim, moisten the rim of your glasses with a lime wedge and dip into coarse salt before pouring the drink.
