- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the shrimp in a single layer in a small baking dish.
- In a small skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about one minute until fragrant. Do not let it brown.
- Whisk in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the creamy garlic sauce evenly over the shrimp in the baking dish.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Avoid overcooking to keep the shrimp tender.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Pat the shrimp very dry with paper towels before starting; this helps prevent a rubbery texture.
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- Serve immediately with crusty bread to soak up the extra sauce.
