Ingredients
Scale
1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 cup finely chopped peeled apples (like Honeycrisp or Fuji)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Pinch the seams together to form a rectangle.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Stir until well combined.
Spread the butter mixture evenly over the dough rectangle.
Sprinkle the chopped apples evenly over the butter mixture.
Carefully roll up the dough tightly, starting from one of the short sides. Pinch the seam to seal.
Cut the roll into 8 equal slices.
Place the slices cut-side up in the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth. Add more milk if needed to reach your desired drizzling consistency.
Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before drizzling with the glaze.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a mix of apples.
Ensure apples are finely chopped so they distribute evenly.
