- 1 lb carrots, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- Place the cut carrots in a medium bowl.
- Add the maple syrup, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon to the bowl. Toss until the carrots are evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
- Place the coated carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the carrots are tender and slightly caramelized.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg along with the cinnamon.
- Do not overcrowd the basket; this allows the carrots to roast rather than steam, resulting in better caramelization.
- If the glaze seems too thin before cooking, you can briefly toss the coated carrots with 1 teaspoon of cornstarch.
