Make perfect Air Fryer Garlic Bread Toasts with crisp edges and golden-brown tops without burning the delicate garlic. This simple method brings back the flavor of your favorite memories.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced finely
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt until well combined.
  3. Slice the bread into 1-inch thick pieces. You can slice the whole loaf or cut it in half lengthwise for larger pieces.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over one side of each bread slice.
  5. Place the buttered bread slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if needed.
  6. Air fry for 4 to 6 minutes, checking halfway through. You want the edges to be crisp and the tops golden.
  7. If using, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the toasts during the last minute of cooking.
  8. Remove carefully and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use roasted garlic instead of raw minced garlic.
  • If your garlic butter mixture seems too stiff, warm it slightly to make spreading easier.
  • Adjust the cooking time based on your air fryer model; watch closely to prevent burning the garlic.
  • This recipe is based on memories of simple, perfect bread from Italian cafes we visited.
