Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs cod or other white fish fillets
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
0.5 teaspoon onion powder
0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
8 small corn tortillas
For the Lime Crema:
0.5 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt to taste
For the Toppings:
Shredded cabbage
Diced red onion
Chopped cilantro
Lime wedges
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix together chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
Rub the spice mixture all over the fish fillets.
Drizzle the olive oil over the fish and spread evenly.
Place the fish in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook for 8-12 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
While the fish is cooking, prepare the lime crema by whisking together sour cream or Greek yogurt, lime juice, minced garlic, and salt in a small bowl.
Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet, microwave, or directly over a low gas flame until pliable.
Once the fish is cooked, carefully remove it from the air fryer and flake it into bite-sized pieces using two forks.
Assemble the tacos by placing a portion of the flaked fish onto each warm tortilla.
Top with shredded cabbage, diced red onion, chopped cilantro, and a drizzle of lime crema.
Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
You can substitute lime juice with lemon juice if needed.
Add your favorite hot sauce for extra spice.
Other topping ideas include avocado, pico de gallo, or pickled jalapeños.
