- 8 oz halloumi cheese
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon olive oil spray
- For the Dip: 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon fresh dill, chopped
- Pinch of salt
- Cut the halloumi block lengthwise into sticks about 1/2 inch thick. Pat the sticks very dry using paper towels.
- In a shallow dish, mix the flour, paprika, and black pepper.
- Lightly dredge each halloumi stick in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray. Arrange the halloumi sticks in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
- Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- While the halloumi cooks, prepare the dip: Mix the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, and salt in a small bowl.
- Serve the hot halloumi fries immediately with the lemon-herb yogurt dip.
Notes
- For best results and maximum crispiness, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
- If your air fryer tends to stick, lightly spray the basket bottom before placing the cheese down.
- Ensure the halloumi is completely dry before coating; moisture prevents crisping.
