Ingredients
Scale
1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons Gochujang (Korean chili paste)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
Place the halved Brussels sprouts in a bowl. Toss them with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the sprouts are tender inside and crispy on the edges.
While the sprouts cook, prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the Gochujang, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and sesame oil until smooth.
Once the sprouts are cooked, transfer them to a clean bowl. Pour the Gochujang glaze over the hot sprouts and toss quickly to coat them completely.
Return the glazed sprouts to the air fryer basket and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes to set the glaze.
Remove from the air fryer, transfer to a serving plate, and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, pat the halved sprouts very dry with paper towels before tossing with oil.
If you prefer a thinner glaze, add 1 teaspoon of water to the sauce mixture.
Adjust the amount of Gochujang based on your preferred spice level.
