- 1 bag (about 28 ounces) frozen tater tots
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- Place the frozen tater tots in the air fryer basket in a single layer if possible, or work in batches.
- Air fry the tots at 400°F (200°C) for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
- While the tots cook, prepare the coating: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Once the tater tots are golden brown and crispy, transfer them immediately to a large bowl.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the hot tots. Toss gently until all the tots are evenly coated.
- Serve immediately for the best crispiness.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in two smaller batches if necessary.
- If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, use garlic powder instead of fresh minced garlic in the coating mix.
- Toss the tots with the coating immediately after they come out of the air fryer so the butter adheres well.
