Ingredients
Scale
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
Pat the shrimp completely dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve crispiness.
In a medium bowl, toss the dry shrimp with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until lightly coated.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Place the coated shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
Remove the basket and immediately drizzle or brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the hot shrimp. Toss gently to coat.
Return the shrimp to the air fryer for 1 minute to set the butter coating.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispiness, ensure the shrimp are very dry before adding the cornstarch.
If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder to the cornstarch coating.
Serve this shrimp over rice or with a side of lemon wedges.
