Get ready for quick, spicy shrimp cooked perfectly in your air fryer. This recipe brings bold Cajun flavor right to your table fast. It is a wonderful way to revisit those intense, memorable tastes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning (or more, to your taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp completely dry using paper towels. This step helps them get crispy.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the dried shrimp with olive oil until lightly coated.
  3. Add the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt to the bowl. Toss well so every piece of shrimp has the spice mix.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for about 3 minutes.
  5. Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes. Check at the 6-minute mark. The shrimp are done when they are pink and opaque throughout.
  7. Remove from the air fryer. Garnish with fresh parsley, if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Drying the shrimp well before seasoning is key for the best texture.
  • Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning based on how bold you like your spice level. Remember, we are chasing those strong flavors!
  • If your shrimp are very large, they might need an extra minute or two in the air fryer.
