Enjoy crispy Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower Bites that capture the taste of your favorite wings without the meat. Follow these steps to keep them perfectly crunchy, even after tossing with the sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the flour and cold water to create a thin batter.
  4. Dip each seasoned cauliflower floret into the batter, letting excess drip off.
  5. Place the battered florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary. Do not overcrowd the basket.
  6. Air fry for 15 to 18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy.
  7. While the cauliflower cooks, whisk together the buffalo sauce and melted butter in a clean, dry bowl.
  8. Once the cauliflower is done, immediately transfer the hot, crispy bites to the sauce bowl.
  9. Quickly toss the cauliflower to coat evenly. Serve right away to maintain maximum crispiness.

Notes

  • For the crispiest results, ensure the cauliflower is completely dry before battering.
  • Do not let the sauced cauliflower sit for more than a few minutes before serving; the heat helps the sauce adhere without making them immediately soggy.
  • If you must wait, toss them in the sauce just before serving.
