Ingredients
Scale
1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust for heat preference)
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Pat the shrimp completely dry with paper towels. This helps them crisp up.
In a medium bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Toss the shrimp in this mixture until lightly coated. Shake off any excess.
Preheat your air fryer to 390F (200C).
Place the coated shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; work in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the shrimp are pink and crispy.
While the shrimp cook, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, lemon juice, and garlic powder until smooth.
Once the shrimp are done, transfer them to a large bowl.
Pour the sauce over the hot shrimp and toss gently until every piece is coated evenly.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra spicy sauce, increase the sriracha amount.
Using fresh lemon juice brightens the sauce flavor.
Do not skip drying the shrimp; moisture prevents crispiness.
